The BLM has received a Plan of Operations on the proposal to reactivate the mill and is taking public comments. In order to be included in the environmental analysis, written comments must be received by June 4 2012.

The Bishop Mill facility was classified as an operating site that was suspended till the tailings impoundment design was approved. The acceptance of the amended Plan of Operation is the last step towards the facilities being fully permitted to operate.Don Wedman, CEO and President of the Company stated "This is a major turning point for the Company. July 18, 2011 Bishop Mill Water License Approval
Vancouver, B.C.: CMC Metals Ltd. (the "Company") is pleased to announce the Water License for the Bishop mill facilities was issued on July 13, 2011, upon receipt of confirmation that the application to construct a new Class A tailing pond had been uncontested. Construction of the tailings pond and shipment of ore from one of the available sources will start once the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has reviewed and accepted the amended Plan of Operations.
