it used to be the case. However, it is very likely real this time. If the current market situation persists, it is going to be a big problem for all CD's companies: money won't be raised and therefore options will be expired/default. And yet, CD will still take a significant charge on his companies cash position to fill his pocket. I would be quite surprised that ZNR still owns something valuable in the near future.

There many ventures in this market, which already 100% own something and CEO of which do not waste cash as their paycheques. These ventures certainly can afford to stay inactive for long just in case. CD's companies, however, will fall apart if staying inactive. If I was the CEO, I would sell as well.
