lower volume and higher prices usually means the short squeeze is on. There may be some longs, but usually low volume and higher prices has to do with the shorts covering positions in a hurry. And that is because the "buy on stop" orders to cover turn into market orders pushing the prices up. The reverse is happening when they short a stock. Lower volume and lower prices.
