Orvana Minerals Corp. (TSX: ORV) ("Orvana" or the "Company"), through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Empresa Minera Paititi ("EMIPA"), is pleased to report the third consecutive month of sustained production at its Don Mario Upper Mineralized Zone ("UMZ") mine in Bolivia.
Transition ore was fed directly through the flotation circuit during the whole month. Results are summarized in the table below.

"We achieved our goal of more than 70,000 tonnes through the Flotation-Only circuit for the month," said Jim Jacques, Orvana's Vice President, Operations. "We will now work to improve recoveries using this process."
The mine plan going forward will consist of 15 days of Leach-Precipitation-Flotation processing then 45 days of Flotation-Only processing through April, 2013 in order to meet commitments for concentrate sales.
"The turnaround of this operation was achieved only through an extraordinary group effort," said Bill Williams, President and Chief Executive Officer. "With our concentrates committed for future sales, we can now focus exclusively on optimizing the operation."
Oxide ores are currently being tested in order to establish the viability of Flotation-Only processing to make a precious-metals concentrate.
