I am inclined to agree with you. It is my opinion that absent other compelling factors, daily share prices are driven by automatic trading programs that probably operate in sync plus retail customers who think that the share price changes are related to "news" and then  think they are jumping on/off the informed train when in fact they are being conned by machines.
