Cart before the cow

Cart before the cow

I can't imagine anyone making any announcement or acknowledge a vaccination program before the plant is commissioned. The optics are wrong, as it would seem that the government is supporting a private enterprise exclusively. The Conservatives don't want to be seen funding private enterprise from start to finish.

.

The play is scripted more like: Innovative company builds facility to manufacture a solution to a growing health problem. Government in it's wisdom recognizes this newfound ability to protect the meat supply AND watersheds, calculates the cost benefit ratio, sees that the vaccination program would create jobs and help protect food safety and the environment. "Yes we cut  meat and MOE inspectors, but at the same time, we brought about changes making the meat supply much safer through the national meat ecoli vaccination program that also helps protect our rural wells and watersheds."

.

If the plant accreditation goes quietly, it's a bad sign. If they bring out the pagentry, get national media coverage (hello Renmark),  then they're playing out the script and we can accept an announcement re vaccination program soon after.

.

Re: human vaccines at the plant; that i sthe first acknowledgement I have heard that it will be prossible. Thanks Rg. It means nothing, I hope, except that we are that much safer in the coming zombie apocalypse.  In any case, as a last resort, it can be a contract plant for any type of vaccine and there's always use for that if some new Ecoli product trumps Econiche.

.

Finally, the revamping of the national R&D grants and loans program: Targeting specific causes that are deemed to be strategic for job creation and innovation rather than a shotgun approach, will IMO get us funding for the Point Claire plant. It fits seamlessly with government objectives of funding towards companies with a high probability of success creating jobs and value added manufacturing in Canada. Watch for that announcement in 2013.

.

Should be an interesting week with the stock, there is serious repositioning going on. Plus our resident rats sound like they're close to full.
