RE: A few questions Answers:
1) No rail deal with QNS&L yet. It is a common carrier and must accept new users at the market rate. Negotiations ongoing. Tayfun Eldem, CEO of ADV, used to run the QNS&L and a lot of other things, for IOC. I assume he has relationships.
I don't understand the question about a rail deal with CLF or LIM, ADV does not seek access to those railways.
2) What kind of iron ore Europe or the US wants is irrelevant. Slowdown or not, China continues to grow and is the big mover on the iron ore market. With the size of China, it doesn't matter that much whether its GDP grows at 10% a year or 4% a year. It is still a massive source of iron ore demand.
The biggest steelmaker in China has decided to invest a couple of hundred million in ADV. They must love the manganese. I yield to their desires.
3) They will negotiate a electric deal splitting difference between what they want to pay, 3.7 cents, and what Hydro-Quebec wants to charge, 9 cents. That's business. The PR move this week of supporting Lower Churchill is part of these negotiations, threatening to source electricity from one of Hydro-Quebec's potential competitors.
