Sorry to burst your bubble coalbad, but the information you provided is misleading.

It states that no study has been undertaken and yet one has, and it includes a representative from the BC Shellfish Growers association. Did you not read the news?

VIU shellfish research centre to study Baynes Sound
The Deep Bay Marine Field Station Centre for Shellfish Research (Vancouver Island University) has been awarded the contract to conduct the fieldwork portion of the marine environment studies for the Raven Underground Coal Project. The field sampling program was designed by AMEC with input from a representative from the BC Shellfish Grower’s Association and will be implemented by the Deep Bay Marine Field Station. These studies will form part of the project’s applications for federal and provincial environmental approval.
