No, it's not just you who feels this way. This excerpt from shareholders letter kind of sums up what I think is their agenda:

"we believe the Dissidents’ public battle with AOS is a smokescreen for their undisclosed agenda. Led by a disgruntled former AOS employee, we believe that they aim to seize control of AOS’ carefully-planned development program without offering a premium to shareholders, as normally happens in a change of control. We believe the Dissidents then intend to use AOS’ sizeable cash reserves to foist on our projects
an unproven technology in which they have an interest."
