RE: RE: RE: china "we've probably been printing tons of money and yet we are fighting off deflation.. how come?"
Because one dynamic economic force is greater than the other. Money printing does promote inflation but a decrease in the demand/ supply ratio promotes deflation. The fact that the world is printing and spending paper like a drunken sailor, but yet inflation is not following it goes to show how bad the real demand/ supply ratio is becoming....ergo, the economy.
In simple English, the masses are not fooled. No matter how much propaganda is published by our media rags, the average consumer is seeing what is going and holding on to their money. Add to that the average well paid plant worker is now a part-time burger flipper tends decrease their spendable household income...but that does not matter. What is important is that they are actually working so the propaganda machine can inform the world that all is well on the home front.
Walnuts rot from the inside out, so the shell is always the last thing to go. If you want to know what is really going on then pay attention to the state of the nut and not the lip service of the paid shell pumpers, pushers and polishers.
