CGX Energy Inc. is a Canada-based oil and gas exploration company. It is focused on the exploration of oil in the Guyana-Suriname Basin and the development of a deep-water port in Berbice, Guyana. The Company, through one of its subsidiaries, holds an interest in a Petroleum Prospecting Licence (PPL) and related Petroleum Agreement (PA) on the Corentyne block in the Guyana Basin, offshore Guyana. The Company, through its subsidiary Grand Canal Industrial Estates, is constructing the Berbice Deep Water Port. This facility, located on the eastern bank of the Berbice River, adjacent to and north of Crab Island in Region 6, Guyana, is being constructed on 30 acres with 400 m of river frontage. Its subsidiaries include CGX Resources Inc., GCIE Holdings Limited and CGX Energy Management Corp. It is the operator of the Corentyne block and holds a 27.48% working interest. Its Wei-1 exploration well is located west of the Kawa-1 discovery in the northern region of the Corentyne block.

Well I wouldn't count Total out either.  Any of the heavyweights could easily be looking at this play, including Shell, BP, Exxon/Mobil, Anadarko, Total and perhaps others as well.  This is usually how they get involved.  Let smaller companies do the dirty work and then step in when terms are best for them.  It's not exactly rocket science and I think we all realize that. Anadarko is one of the slinkier ones though and just seems to always step in and get really good land positions and involvement in plays just before huge finds are made.  Take a serious look at their history.  total isn't far behind on that score either, so you actually have a reasonable hypotheses here even if it was originally made in jest.

Oh yeah, another thing for Rover:   You must look pretty funny eating corn on the cob with only one front tooth judging from the tone of your comments and I point out that if I happen to be right about Anadarko, would you agree that you will be the one asking for cousel from your dog about your next investment, because by definition his guess will have to be as good as yours.
