MLG is facing it's own challenges in that jurisdiction, the above news article may be relevant to it's recent problems with road washouts and the support it could receive from local authorities in maintaining those roads. Thier hydro plant contributes to the local power grid, so they may have a better working relationship than some other mines in Peru with the public and local officials, but it's safe to say that the road ahead could be bumpy (pun intended -:)
