Star Diamond Corporation is a Canada-based company engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of mineral properties. It also holds a 100% interest in the Buffalo Hills Diamond Project, located approximately 400 kilometers northwest of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The property covers a total of 21 mineral leases covering an area of approximately 4,800 hectares (ha).

Newmont originally came at 9.9% in Mar. 2005 . Then they bought in for 40% in 2006. They have not participated in any work for 4 years. As with any merger/acquisition made before 2008 the buyer is sucking wind with what they paid and Newmont is no exception. They've written the project down on their books but still own 34% of ????
