The perception is illustrated by the word "yield".  Stock screeners will not pickup a special dividend as a yield for people that are chasing yield.

If we go 5c a quarter that's a 20% yield.  It will not stay at 20% it is to tempting in a 1.5% 10 years treasury world.

This puppy is percolating but it's only IMHO of course.
