Frankfurt Meeting and TH in brief
Only returned from Frankfurt meeting a little while ago. Robert Mackay has asked for the trading halt, when we started to discuss this article with allegations by Nurzhan Badykeeva, head of the parliamentary commission (she also belongs to the parliament's opposition). (> Didn't she bring up that Centerra thing, too?).
Via K-News she publically questioned the legality of the already given prolongation of the mining license. Robert Mackay made us think: Could it be, that Mrs. Nurzhan Badykeeva does either show some self-interest or does she function as prolonged hand of external interests (e. g. Chinese). Interesting fact: Someone of her direct family (Her “father or uncle“, I don't recall this properly ... someone please do some investigation on this) possibly was former director of Kutessay mining. And he also has reason to bring in the Chinese “fingerprint“: A Chinese group from Baotou has been former interim owner of the Kutessay licence, a while before Stans did auction it. Since this group didn't know how to handle Kutessay, they didn't do anything with it, thus they were forced by the government to give the licence back, which then was put to auction. These people still do “penetrate“ Stans, since they seem to have realized, what they've lost. (> This is my thought to it: Did they probably hold Kutessay back from going into production again?)
The trading halt is good for the stock and for all of us. This is my opinion. The situation needs serious talks with the people charge, but at that time Kyrgyzstan was "sleeping". However, during our meeting Boris Aryev (CCO) could give R. Mackay a formal ok.
Nevertheless, he will keep up the trading halt tomorrow, or at least, until this situation is cleared and Stans was able to react properly (press release). The halt has nothing to do with the PFS. For two reasons, the PFS could take a few days (?) longer: 1st, while waiting for the mining licence, which is prerequisite for the PFS, quite a few values did change. They need to be up to date. 2nd, the actual situation in Kyrgystan needs to be resolved.
So folks, in Europe its time for bed now. I personally don't see any reason to sell, nor any reason to put in big buying orders either, because of possible news. I'd buy for the long run, since everything seems to be on the right track, but things simply need more time. According to R. M. we basically lost 6 months waiting for this ML. Without a licence, there is no fieldwork, so with the logical exception of the wintertime, when it is too cold anyway, they weren't allowed (by Kyrgese law) to do any mining preparations at Kutessay. Shame, but fact.
