Because of huge cost savings by shipping from the ROF using Rail instead of Trucks, BT when mined selectively for higher grade Chromites will also produce some direct shipping Cr Ores in addition to the very much higher grade BD Cr Ore production. Eventually, there will be 1 or more concentrators at or near the ROF RR with modern tailings controls & management.

Environmental disasters such as you reference are fast becoming nightmares of the past.

Much of the pollution you refer to is from antiquated pyrometallurgy including the burning of low grade dirty fuels & garbage. Ore grades are low and dust collection systems if any inoperative. Concentrator Tailings & Pyro Slags are much too high in metals & are randomly dumped where leaching can occur. Thus, both drinking water & air contain all manner of poisons.

The ROF will be an environmental show case in every way & as already mentioned will help phase out worldwide polluters whereby the ROF becomes more & more profitable very long term.
