Maple Technologies - Daewood

Maple Technologies - Daewood

Can anyone shed some legal light.....

With Wilans last website...they initially posted all their patents online. Sometime during the time of the gang of 22 legal action was in progress ..Intel sued Wilan in the Nothern court of California on several patents via a Declaratory Judgement process.

Did Wilan purposely transfer the Daewood patents to this newly formed Maple Technologys. company so that it would mitigate any lawsuits against Wilan since these were very powerful Video patents???

If so...what would Wilan gain in 'hiding' these patents with a newly formed corporation? Lets put it this way...If infact Wilan received these patents during the course of the business transaction....would legal action have been brought against Wilan...and would it not through a wrench in present secret negotiations for a merger/buyout scenerio? Who else was in hot pursuit of the Daewood patents?

Happy Canada Day!
