Stockwatcher, averaging down is something I tried about 10 years ago and I watched the stock go from $14 to 10 cents, and I was averaging down the whole time. The company finally got sold at pennies to the dollar and I lost $30k. That was the time I realized you do not invest in only one stock. Call it a tuition fee lol.

If you have some reason to think this company is going to do better going forward than I think buying at this low is prudent. However, as you say, there is nothing indicating that things will get better. In fact, I see the risk increasing going forward so in my case I will continue to sit on the sidelines and watch. Like I am watching Barkerville as I am very curious what will come of that. The last I heard the term "Possible" Resource was not allowed. I also do not see much detail as to how Barkerville's Resource was calculated... If you look at their new website there are no photos of any of the people involved, save one, and the QP's website is still under construction.... Does not inspire confidence in my opinion.
