Today is July the 4th, and what better timing for the media to claim that the Chinese have ‘leaked’ a rumor that they will be stockpiling four rare earths elements (REEs): terbium, dysprosium, europium and yttrium. After all, the market is closed for the holiday, so everyone can prepare for the fireworks tomorrow.
