RE: RE: Online Jousting I can't argue with what you say... but how many venture stocks are up and how many are down over this two to three-year period? If your portfolio is like everyone else's... need I say more?
The best experts are baffled and confused by the market... with interest rates at all time lows, why isn't the stock market booming? Why -- with gold prices close to $1600 -- aren't gold producing blue chip stocks in the toilet? Why aren't lots of juniors booming? Why aren't gold miners buying out juniors left over right?
Hey, I'm just a human being and I call it as I see it. I've been posting since Teuton was 8 cents in 2008. I bought a lot of shares as low as a nickle, so I guess you can argue that certainly those purchases were good!
Without getting into politics more than is necessary, the headlong dash to give governments more and more power to regulate and over-regulate and tax and spend more money than they take in in revenues is doing great damage to all economies. The welfare state (worldwide) is imploding and we are smack dab in the middle of the time when folks will choose whether they like that state of affairs or are willing to let some people win and others lose. My personal belief is that markets are stalled awaiting the "grand solution."
So my belief is that stocks are now controlled more by fear and uncertainty than their own merits. Until something different happens, we just have to wait for the economic storm to blow over. I'm not preaching any political viewpoint; just pointing out what's really controlling the stock market at this stage in history.
Oh, I think it was Saldo who made a point about Teuton changing its defense time after time (or offense, for that matter.) Obviously, as more facts come to light through discovery, new things become known. The case is fluid. Also, Teuton changed counsel and that attorney clearly has new input. So, once again, the nonsense about who sued first and other similar tactics won't work. There are two points of view and the facts are the facts.
Jumper says Teuton should not reward wrongdoing. That's all well and good. A civil case, however, is about money and property; it is not a criminal matter where "evil" needs to be punished. A settlement -- if one took place -- will be both a reward and a "punishment" for each side to some degree. The idea of settling a case is simply to cut losses and stop the bleeding.
Managements of both sides make these decisions anyway; not me, not Saldo and certainly not Jumper!
I'm on board with TUO's decisions as to what will serve us best. GLTA.
