Interesting, that the price you are quoting, the Wood Mackenzie forecast, is showing a decrease and then very slow rise in coal price until 2035.  That seems contrdictory in light of the increase in consumption projected by the US Energy Information Administration forecast.  see https://205.254.135.7/forecasts/ieo/coal.cfm

Also, look at the chart below.  My crystal ball is probably not anywhere as clear as theirs but basic economics tells me the price should rise with increasing demand unless the supply rises at the same rate.  If the supply is to increase that means more coal mining doesn't it?  What am I missing here?
