I fully understood the/your point. This is the first step to what MIGHT be a HUGE leap for all US miners. The fact that it has gone this far is positive news. If the Democrats do not like the by-passing of environmental legislation, i.e. AMY is green, then maybe they rewrite the bill??? - just a thought.

Or...they actually pass it because they see the importance. It creates jobs, right? The jobs report has been terrible for the US in the last 7-12 months. The economy is not in the greatest state (understatement).

PROs vs CONs...is creating jobs and producing minerals for export/domestic supply more important than environmental factors??? It all depends on the amount of miners who are green vs. not. Will this create more non-environmentally friendly miners to enter the market? - These are questions that must be answered in order to pass the bill.

 

Also, election season is just around the corner...how would this affect Obama?  Does he gain the respect of Republicans and lose the respect of Democrats or visa-versa?
