The Funds secondary investment objective is capital appreciation The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objectives by investing at least 80% of its managed assets (i.e., net assets plus assets obtained through leverage) in a portfolio of preferred and other income securities issued by U.S. and non-U.S. companies, which may be either exchange-traded or available over-the-counter. In pursuing its investment objectives, the Fund seeks to achieve favorable after-tax returns for its shareholders by seeking to minimize the U.S. federal income tax consequences on income generated by the Fund. Time element?  The pta.wt's have an extra 5 months, and over twice the exercise price.  And three times the price.  It's nuts.  Whoever is buying those warrants is not doing so because it is a good investment, i.e there is an alterior motive.  I have no clue what it is.  Who in their right mind pays 3x the price for warrants that exercise at over 2 the strike price and only hae an extra 5 months??  I think I better read the warrant indetures and see if there are funny provisions in case of a takeover.
