I would say the same if the amounts were sold, as I can think of several reasons why someone might want to free up a little cash.....emphasis on "little".

 

Mad money is defined differently depending on who you ask. For me, it's an amount that, if lost, would not impact the overall portfolio.....ie, an amount I can afford to lose. Defined in another way, it makes up a fraction of 1%. So I agree with you on that.

 

My goal is to have PLT as an adjunct to the larger divi payors in the portfolio, to incrementally add to income stream....a basket approach.
