I agree and it doesn't mean I like the way the market is behaving but you have to respect the price action. Take a good look at a weekly chart of the Dax, the benchmark European index and tell me if it looks bullish or bearish.

If the SPX was sitting over 1400 right now and the Vix was at 16 that would be an entirely different story and I would be looking at SPY puts.
