RE: BHP

RE: BHP

They got stomped in their POT takeover attempt and the global mining slowdown (as if with China still growing and buying more commods each year until their growth, if it ever does, turns negative. so just a media/establishment attack on commod prices imo) has curbed their application of cash to the sector.

They needed into either the Russian or North American cartels and got stuffed hard. Their Jensen project in Sask does not allow them to start that project and get a CEO bonusable return because the resident producers have hundreds of years of deposits that can be exploited far more cheaply than BHP can compete with after the massive capital costs of starting up Jensen.

They needed a huge established base to start a new biz sector in potash and didn't get it. Many thanks to the Sask Premier for keeping this vulture out of the potash scene.

That said, the major consumers of potash ie: China, India, Brazil etc still want new deposits developed outside of the russian and NA cartels, so continue to look at projects that the consumers would find to their benefit.

Those bros from Calgary. Good lord am I ever going to avoid anything they ever control again. At least they are no longer steering this ship onto the reef. Still hard to say if it will recover, but their land is far better than AAA's imo.

Let's get a deal done.
