Keep on truckin' From the July 16, 2012 NR:
“Bonanza Ledge received its Mines Act Permit on Dec. 5, 2011, and currently has a mine life of four years. The mine design is the culmination of geological exploration, engineering and environmental studies undertaken by the company in the Barkerville camp since the deposit was discovered in 2000. Bonanza Ledge Mine start-up is expected to commence during the third quarter, 2012.”
And now, we must look back to the May 18 2005 NR:
Engineering and environmental work is proceeding on the Bonanza Ledge project, a separate, stand-alone proposal to mine 70,000 tonnes per year on Barkerville Mountain (anticipated to begin in the fall of 2005), which is being permitted concurrently through the B.C. Ministry of Energy and Mines.
...and to the Feb 25 2005 NR:
Bonanza Ledge Bulk Sample
-Continuation of underground access development for 175 meters, development of 3 stopes and mining of the 11,982 tonne bulk sample, completed on July 11.
-Trucking the bulk sample 256 kilometers to the Mt Polley Mill for processing, was completed on July 30, 2004
-The bulk sample was processed from September 27 through October 3, 2004.
So the company had no problem mining a 12,000 tonne bulk sample from Bonanza Ledge, representing two months of production from the proposed 70,000 tonne/year Bonanza Ledge Mine. Within two and a half weeks, the ore had been trucked 256 kms to the Mt. Polley Mill for processing.
And we have this confirmation from Minfile:
In 2004, International Wayside Gold Mines Ltd. extracted a 10,000 tonne underground bulk sample on the high-grade gold Bonanza Ledge zone. The head grade of the bulk sample was approximately 23 grams per tonne gold. The company also continued to drill the Bonanza Ledge zone from an underground exploration drift and from surface using a tightly-spaced pattern. In all 14,142 metres of drilling was completed on the Bonanza Ledge trend.
