an alter ego I have purposely ranked this post very low because it is purely for entertainment value.
A rainy few days in the forecast has unfortunately shortened our camping trip by a day. I don't really mind. We need the rain in this part of Ontario and I think I'll enjoy a walk in it when it does start. However, at the moment, here I sit, back home, sifting through email, news, and other "information". I'm thinking about the value of stockhouse and trying to read umpteen gazillion anonymous posts about several stocks that I follow, sort the pumpers, from the bashers, from the nuts, etc, etc. There are many of you who I really like and who have shared a lot of wisdom. On the whole of it though, the jury remains out. I am thinking that I will glean my market gossip in more old-fashioned ways (face to face, on the phone, at the coffee shop) for a while.
The evil side of my conscience is sitting on my shoulder and saying that I should comment on an a matter of some comic value. I generally don't let Luci (as I affectionately call the little red fellow with the pitchfork), win out. However.....
Mr GwPlant sent me an aggressive message -- something about using his virtual fist to attempt virtual assault (since he declined the offer to actually talk and explain his recent commentary and name calling). After this brief display of virtual courage, GW put me on ignore in order to try and play the virtual osterich and hide. He won't, I suppose, be reading my post until some point after he next loses his cookies
There is some hope that we have heard the last of him here though that promise has been made before.
The funny part came about when I decided to try and use google to unmask this virtually brave, lion-heartedly anonymous fellow who repeatedly cusses on this board and calls everyone a moron or worse. One does wonder sometimes who these anonymous folk engaging in all kinds of aggressive behaviour and name-calling are.
I will not post a link but have heard that Google is your friend. Searching on gwplant reveals a middle aged twitter persona of the same handle called Grant who is pictured with his loyal dog. He is in BC but seems to hope that the Sens will win the cup. He is following several interesting twitter channels -- in addition to following dividend paying stocks, GWP follows a whole range of "dominant" ladies, barely legal folk, and several vegas entertainment clubs. This "other" GWP is followed by several ambitious, recently uncommitted hot momma's who leave less to the imagination than one generally hopes for. He is an avid follower of Gary Bettman. Tweeter Grant provides a daily twitter posting with the horoscope for Virgo -- today he is feeling on edge but can't seem to connect to his feelings. He also tweets Shannon Elizabeth, Katy Perry and several other hollywood persona's regularly with birthday wishes which tells me he must be an actor of some kind. An avid poker star of the same name is found on an online gambling site but has been given some 24 hours bans for "shooting off" (is this a poker term?).
To his credit, this *other* GWP is firmly against cruelty to animals. He does ultimately remain anonymous, even on twitter. The connection to a poster of the same name is probably purely coincidental. However, if there is indeed a link between these two, there is clearly, there is a gentler, more Bohemian side to this widely misunderstood poster.
