In nuggety gold, you have a few high grade zones, surrounded by barren rock. The low grades are not unusual, but extreme high grades are. For example, Prize Mining  hit the second highest drill hole ever recorded for BC a few years back in April 2004 at 5724 g/t over 1.5 ft. The subsequent bulk sample a few years later failed to confirm an economic deposit of any significance.
