Hi Petersburg,

Something does not quite add up here. We both agree that Sprott is very bullish on silver. Now do we know if Sprott owns any Hecla? The other question I have is why did Hecla make the offer at all if it was obvious that they had no chance of it being accepted. We are missing something here. Maybe that was just an introductory offer so they can have access to the USA shareholder list. Also, if they felt they could not get Sprott and other major shareholders on side, this is all a waste of their time. They must have approached some of the larger shareholders and been given the idea that a deal could be made. The fact that USA closed slightly above the offer price instead of the expected arbitrage of slightly lower tells me that the market is expecting a better offer to come.

the other possibility is that Sprott have been reading Peruch's posts about the incompetence of USA management and have panicked and are now willing to sell all their shares at any price.
