Got involved with Conway through a friend. He is an older gentleman and he worked at the Belleterre mine from 1952 until 56 when it closed. He is one of the few guys that is still living that worked in the mine back in the day. He tells me that the mine was never really drilled to depth so who knows there could be some serious minerals below 3,500 feet. He remebers conversations with the geologist who claimed that the property had all the characteristics of a major deposit. Unfortunately the current management does not have the money to seriously drill this property.
Out of interest this gentleman's brothers (5 of them) also worked at the mine. My grandfather worked there in the 40's as a secutity guard. Many people from that area relocated to the mines in Sudbury after the closure. That's where I live Sudbury. Good mining town.
