RE: sucker

RE: sucker

So who is the sucker ?  You sound like an employee.  I have a hard time believing that CDP would buy ALL the shares of Rona to prevent a US takeover.  One thing seems certain to me - if a company's stock went from $25 in 2008 down to below $9 ( a loss of 67% roughly ) with the same management team - you can expect changes or unhappy shareholders.  Lowe's will probably up the bid here a few bucks and will get this done.  I can't see politics ruining the day here - it is not like Rona is a protected resource such as potash or uranium.  Lowe's probably views buying Rona the quickest way to grow in Canada and is probably buying the real estate assets for less than it would take to build new stores.  I am going back to saying $16.50 per share.
