Citarum and Jata-1

Citarum and Jata-1

The P50 estimates for the Citarum prospects are 730 tcf or about 125 million boe.

J-1 is the first of a 3 well back to back program.

The next two wells, subsequent to J-1, will cost $5.5 million each anf then, proceed to BG.

On the May 28 presentation, the time map of the upper secondary sands where the gas influx occurred is given a higher area estimate than the Parisi.

This is rather interesting.

During the first drilling break, 50 ft of these porous sands ( about 4-5 according to the presentation, were penetrated and they were still  getting a gas influx at cease.

Over-pressure, or high gas concentration in these porous sands and perhaps several other factors may explain this gas influx but the time area map of this in the presentation is very suggestive of something significant.

Clearly, frequent gas shows were observed in the secondary target.

Even at the slowest drilling pace, they should be at TD by today.

More probable, unless they again lost circulation, they arrived at TD several days ago.

POE run a tight ship and keep things close to their chest.

Perhaps they will keeep everything under wraps until the quarterly next week.
