We all know that it is important to believe in what your doing and reality your a sales person... so yes we have to make it look good ... tis part of the process... Having said that I am also in the belief if the product is good and there is a market then it is a matter of marketing and the more you market the better you can do..
One has to consider that in this day and age it is important to keep current... and as the tech world moves ever faster it is more important to have your product to market sooner and faster than competitor... otherwise it will always be a catch up routine. Some of this is the situation that we see with Route1 ... many years were wasted for whatever reason where by marketing the product was not saturated into the market ... nor was it current... most never heard of Route1 or it's product ...
With Tony yes there is a bit of sales going on that is part of the gig ... as being a CEO ... I also as I am sure you would be if you were the CEO ... you are excited about the possibilities you have a vision ... and tout it publically... then of course reality is there ... it is a tough job... to penetrate hardened camps that do things only in a certain fashion or a certain way and it is tough to break into the niche... being an outsider...
I give Tony a great deal of credit for moving Route1 forward... previously we saw no marketing campaign as it is being conducted now ... is it Perfect no ... is or have there been mistakes sure there has ... tough curve to bring a product to fruition... especially one that has been in the market that some knew of but never full either understood or gave a chance to so the product cycle became stale ... so Tony has revitalized that to some extent... yes there is a ways to go ... as time moves forward and as the pilots continue so will sales ...
Step by step ... some days you think it is moving backwards the wheels move so slowly and that is how the market has reacted since those first claims when Tony first took over ... however there is a big difference there is Pilots and Potential in the pipeline now ... before there was nothing ... so going forward even if there is a 3 % adoption rate it is 3 % more than it was previous to Tony ... the difference is now the Doors are opening ... where as before or pre Tony the doors were always slammed in the Salesmans face...
SO ... can it happen oh yeah... will it I believe so... once the market starts adoption... and the word gets out it will be moving ever forward and sales will continue to climb ... that is why I like "Try's" figures he posts... I believe as mentioned before we can at least get to that first level... I believe he put it > .70 cents to 3.00 level... anywhere in there and this thing will blow wide open ... and it is my believe it is possible relatively quickly ... and then I believe you will have a big corp move in and take Route1 out...
Am I a Long and Strong YOU bet I am...
