The volume is high, but the number of trades is low - ie volume is from a few large blocks.
Its pretty easy to move a thinly traded share price a few percent when you are about to cross a large block.
I don't know what is going on, but I do know the use of the word "plumet" when the share price looses 14c, on a market down day, when the Dow was down 115, and oil was down significantly, is inappropriate.
I suspect one party is accumulating a large position. It could be pre take over accumulation. It could also be institutional investor accumulation. Either is great for shareholders.
