RE: someone answer this question good question, I don't know the details, how far are the oil fields and can they store NG without major leakage as these weren't NG filedsto begin with and not work as well with NG. I'm not an expert in these technical matters, but if they can store the NG without too much cost of loss I think it's a great idea. additionally the NG could be used as a enhanced recovery method as well, maybe boost pressure for oil produciton?
either way, it's about the shale oil right now, not the NG.
don't foget that oil pipeline has limited capacity and has been around for a long time already, so at some point if the Canol is as big as the Bakken or bigger, they will need to expand this pipeline or twin it and increase the delivery capacity.
it might make sense to add a NG pipeline along with the new oil pipeline and get ready for 10-15 years down the road because North America will need the artic NG sooner or later.
I'm trying to buy more MGX but nobody wants to sell at 0.215.
