I fully realize I'm likely speaking to deaf ears. But I'll say it again anyway. The local environmental impacts do not matter as much anymore, with coal, as does CO2 and climate change. There is no mitigation that CEC can do short of committing to never sell an ounce of thermal coal.

There are plenty of other minerals that humanity still needs and that can provide good jobs. This isn't about being anti mine or anti jobs. It's about changing from being dependent on fossil fuels that are going to destroy many lives.
