you can over contribute into your tfsa but are subject to a 3 percent charge per month on your over contribution

Example  This year you put in your 5k and tou decided because this puppy is goiny to the moon you put anothe 5 k into your tfsa

 

You would pay a penalty of 150.00 per month from the time you over contributed This would stop Jan 1 2013

So your 5k would cost you $600.00  for Sept- thru Dec

f you believe that there is another $1.00 to go or more you would still be up quite a bit 67 percent on your over contribution
