If you compare the NovaGold situation with BGM you will find some parallels (and differences). In both cases the technical report was prepared by a 3rd party. In both cases there was a significant revision of a prior disclosure.  The big difference with BGM is that they did issue a NR (with the encouragement of the BCSC no doubt) to warn investors to not rely on June 28th NR. Still there is a significant time window where investors were whipsawed dreaming of what the value of 65M to 90M ounces of in situ really was. Heady days. I loved the planning for moving ore via rail. Cool stuff.

 

Will BGM investors care about a significant change in the Cow pile resource estimate? If the stock goes up after the CTO then I doubt anyone will give a hoot. On the other hand if the stock drops back to pre-pump levels of say 40 cents then maybe some investors will have a grumble. Time will tell.
