Nokia/WP8 Flop - Good for RIM?

Nokia/WP8 Flop - Good for RIM?

I'm always cautious to attribute any particular rational to day-to-day price movements in a stock, but I wonder whether RIM is up due to the overall lukewarm reception of the Nokia WP8 Lumia.  I have thought for a while that MSFT is the most natural fit to buy RIM, considering both companies are strong in the enterprise space.  If WP8 flops, MSFT will face even more pressure to build marketshare in the smartphone space.  MSFT could buy RIM and offer every enterprise and government user a discounted WP8 phone.  It makes a lot of sense.

Or maybe it's just because a butterly flapped its wings halfway around the world.  Who knows?
