Sandy, It is not that management is forcing the price down to get cheap options, its that they are taking advantage of poor market conditions to get cheap options. The recent rise of 30c in the stock price has little to do with management performance and plenty to do with the surge in silver prices. Regardless, management is 30c per share richer now. USA were not the first company to take advantage of depressed prices to issue options. I doubt they will be the last either. I would like to see something like options being priced at the higher of yesterday's closing price or the 90 day average. As far as I am concerned this is an industry problem as opposed to a USA problem. My solution would take less money out of my pockets and straight into management's.
