I'm trying to get my arms around the share consolidation and the potential buy-out connection.  How do the two relate?  If they are selling all or part of the company why is a share consolidation neccessary?

I know YNG wanted to get more institutional investors in the stock, but I don't know how the share consolidation and a buy-out  actually mesh together.  Can anybody help me there.
