RE: It never gets cheaper

RE: It never gets cheaper

I think the big boys have to be looking this way and in my opinion, they are. Where are you going to find a 600,000 oz per year boost in production at this price? Pascua-Lama is a true nightmare.  Argentina is not where you want to be building a mine that will become your bigest asset.  Not only that, they have issues with water, and are attempting  and I do say attempting to mine under a glacier.  This is main reason why I will not invest in Barrick or Silver Wheaton.  I owned shares in SLW, but I think there are less risky plays such as Sandstorm Gold, which I do own.  If Detour can pull off bringing this mine to market at budget and produce as they say they will, then this is a homerun, but that is a big if.  Worse case, you still have an advanced mega startup mine in a friendly country.  Even if it is sold, whoever owns stock at this point will make money.  I am hoping that the mine starts producing, the numbers come in at projections, get a little cash flowing and then if someone wants to buy, then I would consider selling, but not now.  Then again, who said I have any say, I owned European Goldfields and Minefinders, both sold recently.
