RE: Toronto Resource Invest Conference Bada123bing: Yes, I would agree with you here. I heard this Conference being advertised yesterday on the Radio and it sounds like a must for resource companies, which is the principal focus of this forum: i.e. investing in the resource sector. Although ANX is attending and participating in the one in Newfoundland this week, they can still make this one scheduled for the end of this month. I think that they should be tabling and introducing themselves to the investment community there, considering that the venue should attract a lot of big-time investors.
Gold is now (as I write this) @1770.70$U.S./oz and looking good. Can anyone explain the selling? I looked at the list for yesterday and the wall of sellers at .12-.125cents is disturbing although I realize that these people are not investors but rather quick-buck chasers. There seems to be some kind of psychological brain cramp when the stock hits .12cents. The cramp becomes a block and no-one seems willing to cross this line. I purchased a small number of shares yesterday at .115cents but last week I also bought a very small number and paid the .12cents. It doesn't matter to me because I'm in for the very long haul and in 5 years from now, I will kick myself for not taking out a bank loan and buying every share that I could at .12cents. It is pure value and the upside is so exciting. At one point, we hit the ask price finally, at .125cents, but no takers.
I think that we have to push Dustin to promote the Company harder and excite all those that will listen to him. I am very pleased with his stewardship of the Company to date. He took a barren piece of land with a very difficult rock ore body and made it into a producing and profitable gold mine with huge expansion upside and huge growth and income upside in a relatively short time considering all of the problems facing him in getting this operation to work. But having a .12cent stock is not helping anyone and the Company must reflect its true value through the stock...the only real barometer that we have. How do we break through? I am praying for that moment to come when the market recognizes the real value in ANX and piles into the stock and breaks us free from this bottom, where we have now languished for almost 2 years since the start-up of Pine Cove. In 48 years of equity investing, I have never seen a situation like this before where such a great stock sits clinging to the edge of a cliff and cannot get itself to the heights of this mountain. If we collectively pray for a breakthrough, then we might see it happen!
