Trade vs Buy & Hold

Trade vs Buy & Hold

I have always had a problem with the trading model.  Trading is subject and vulnerable to the market manipulators, the high speed computer trades and cancelations, the hedge funds,  market makers, the banking cabal manipulating PMs, the people with inside info, etc.  I can never understand which short-term market force is in play and for how long. Therefore I try to find stocks with solid fundamentals, shareholder friendly management with a good to excellent track record and a significant stake in the company and in an industry with a positive future. Aurcana fits these criteria (although Lenic's performance with regard to shareholder friendly performance is open to debate).  The Buy & Hold model by definition requires patience. But if you have patience you will prevail over the longer term.
