SGN produced ~8K oz Au in its first year of production (2011). This included reprocessing material left on pad and some new material. They have worked through startup year and are only recently doing better.
GGN produced 3K oz Au in its first real quarter of production (albeit after 6 months of startup issues and delays that effectively paralyzed production). They did this in the most recent quarter exclusively processing existing heaps and dumps and working through normal startup tweaking. They are expanding pad from 4M tons to 12M tons as we speak. This will/should have the potential to increase production rate from 3K oz Au/Q to ~9K oz Au/Q. Remember this is still only processing heaps and dumps. When they get into virgin ore mining sometime around EOY 2012 (i.e. 3 months from now) recoveries increase from 40% to ~80% and then production has the potential to really takeoff. By mid-2013... annual rate of at least 50-60K oz Au would be my guess... maybe sooner. But all this JMHO.
But we'll see.
