RE: SND – Just my take I happen to think the truth of it is that Nolan would have wished he'd done that from the very start and launched as Sandstorm Gold - a specific and clear investment for investors seeking exposure to the metal. Sandstorm (as it was) just blurred the investment so when gold investors looked at it they said "I don't want exposure to potash or oil" and likewise when the gas crowd turned up they didn't want exposure to gold. I think the identity crisis will continue at SND, especially as the 'best bit' has clearly been seperated off.
Neumeyer of First Majestic Silver realised years ago that to stand out in the market you have to say "this is what we do and as specialists we do it better than anyone else". Nolan and team will know that in the last major bull run in gold even Golds Bakery shareprice screamed up despite the fact they made bread.
Having spent the last eleven years full time in this sector the Sandstorm Gold message is the simplest I have ever researched to arrive at a buy decision. I know the sector like many of you and like you I will often spends many hours/days investigating a potential investment. The crowd that's around the corner however will probably spend twenty minutes maximum on researching a stock..................and I don't know about you but I'm expecting a very big crowd!
