RE: PVG in a nutshell diagoro,
I agree with much of what you say. Basically a top notch mining guy got backing from big money and bought a highly prospective property. A couple of comments:
3. PVG was conceived and executed as a professional/corp play. The small investor was very late to the party.
The small investors had plenty of chance to get into this. The stock traded within 10% of the IPO for over a month after it started trading. Some small investors got in early and picked up shares at very good prices. Like this guy for example: https://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/messagedetailthread.aspx?&p=0&m=29022634&r=0&s=PVG&t=LIST&pd=1 There was also an opportunity for the small guy to make good money on the warrants. I remember someone pointing out on this board that warrants were trading at $0.97 per share - and they went up to over $4.00 after that.
5 ... obviously the challenge has pushed SNOWDON and PVG into positions where neither is completely comfortable with the other.
I disagree with this statement - particularly based on the presentation that I listened to on the web. There did not appear to be any disagreement between the two parties. With this high grade its prety obvious that a bulk sample is required to get a good estimate of grade.
6. The presentation was pathetic. And they left the mikes open at the end so you could hear the presenters laughing over what was, for them, a free and totally needless trip to Canada.
The presentation was awesome. I have way better understanding of the geology now. The explanation of the modelling confirmed my assumptions regarding changes in the 43-101. Given that the reasons were based on geology, statistics and reserve modelling a dry technically oriented presentation was kind of what I'm expecting. I don't know what else you were expecting. A dog and a pony perhaps? Robert Quartermain jumping out of a giant cake?
8. Investors are driven by fear and greed, and usually get timing wrong 80% of the time. This is fear week at PVG. You should be buying.
I bought some today. When an excellent news comes out (particularly news that is explained in exquisite boring detail) but the stock goes down ... that can often be an opportunity.
