RE: Vid with Cope: bidding war & takeout this year Hey Blue_sea,
Thank's very much for the youtube link.Great find. Very good/short interview with Cope. What I found the most informative was Gary's comments re-asserting the four serious interested parties and the fact that he is expetcing a buyout before the end of this calendar year. Perhaps an offer make come on the heels of the filing of the NI-43101 for the updates resource valuation within 45 days.
I was figuring the release of the Mining Plus resource estimate would have catapulted the stock over $2.00 however was stunned by the short lived move up and subsequent quick descent to $1.61. Perhaps the selling came from the short term money that was in at the low $1.00 range and were waiting for the news release to cash out. Good points about the Triple Witching as well. The "conspiracy theorist" in me has to think that if Gary is on the mark about serious suitors offering a takeover soon, one would think they would be doing everything possible to hold the share price down as it seems many takeover prices are based on averages of recent period closing prices. I tend to think that there are crafty traders out there who could accomplish same on their behalf. In any event, assuming the speculative money sold into the news release last week, perhaps we may see the share price rebound post conference call.
We could use some updated analysts research and re-rates of the stock along with what I expect to be a worthwhile teleconference on Tuesday. Maybe McCoach, etc will come out with updated commentary and price targets fuelling a rebound. Mike Devji had told me last month that they would be hosting a teleconference to discuss the Mining Plus results after the release. It is good to see OK management being more aggressive with shareholder communication. The teleconference should only serve to be a positive catalyst to getting the story further out there.
Thank's also to Milsy, Gloxia and others for some good insight over the last few days.
Good things come to those with patience !
