So in essence it's ok to spend tax payer dollars on the railway, but not on the roads and highways? 

 

Chris, just admit you don't want the Raven Coal Mine to open, period.  It's either the railway or no way right.  There can be no compromise with that kind of thinking.

 

If the railway is in disrepair, then it cannot be used until it is repaired.  Why is it ok to spend money on the rail and not the roads/highways? 

 

"Wat should the stance be then 2guys? "Please Mr. Tapics if it is not too much trouble please use the railway so that us poor working folk don't have to pay more taxes to fund your trucks ripping up our city streets and clogging our highway."

The difference is that the railway is in a state of disrepair and needs funding by both government (it is publicly owned) and industry (Raven, and the rail operator) and political support in order to be used."
